About Jules

I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil, and once I learned to read, I started writing stories too. I've published two illustrated novels with HarperCollins ("Both Can Be True" and "Fight + Flight," both under pen name Jules Machias) as well as several coloring books. I also have an editing business called Red Pen Refinery. I live with a few chronic pain conditions that have given me a profound appreciation for life's small, quiet magical moments, and turning those into art keeps me going on the tough days.
